SureShack’s Innovative Design

When Noel saw what some outlets are calling a “secure” shackle, he immediately saw a better option.

SureShack is a Design Engineer’s take on the traditional shackle. It eliminates many of the frustrations that come with using common shackles, like worrying about it coming undone, or struggling to tighten or open it. SureShack solves these issues with its signature clip.

The unique integrated clip is used to secure the pin in place, stopping it from turning to ensure a safe & reliable connection. This means that you don’t have to tighten your shackles, making them a doddle to remove once you release the clip.

Each SureShack shackle is designed & assembled in New Zealand and adhere to the following standards:

  • All SureShack shackles are batch tensile tested in accordance with AS 2741 – 2002.

    • All rated shackles are batch tested to failure in accordance with AS 2741 – 2002, which is more stringent than the NZ standard of ISO 2415 – 2004.

  • A pass as per AS 2741 – 2002 ensures compliance with the New Zealand standard.

  • Trailer Shackles are rated in accordance with NZS 5467 – 1993 for the New Zealand market.

  • Testing is independently performed by a fully accredited tester.

  • Destruction Test Certificates are issued with the maximum loads before failure.

  • Shackle Ratings are clearly identified.

How it works

SureShack’s clip can be flipped between the 'Secure' and 'Released' and positions to lock or enable easy removal of the pin. The clip neatly fits over the body of the shackle, stopping the pin from unscrewing and keeping it in place.

Instructions are as follows:

  1. Insert the pin into the shackle and screw it in.

  2. Flip the clip down over the body of the shackle to secure the pin.

  3. Release the clip from the shackle’s body to easily remove the pin.
